Play Chromecast using Crowne Plaza hotel WiFi

When you arrive your hotel, maybe the TV channel are not tailored for you. Chromecast mightbe the great solution for you to watch your favorite TV show from Netflix, Youtube, NBATV... etc.

But how to make Chromecast connect to WiFi from web login authorization since you just can enter password through WPA authorization?

Step:
1. first insert Chromecast to TV

2. Switch the source to HDMI

 You would see it can connect to hotel WiFi but can't access internet

 3. Try your personal laptop to login hotel WiFi and see what the parameters would used when you login.

For example, you enter "www.google.com" in your laptop browser, you would see the webpage direct to the url below:
http://172.27.0.1/cgi-bin/login.cgi?ip=172.27.1.30&mac=e8:2a:ea:d6:3b:7a&url=http://www.google.com.tw/&mobile=0

You can check your ip and mac address in your laptop through the command "ipconfig /all" on windows or "ifconfig -a" in Linux

Similarily, you can check your chromecast ip and mac address then change the ip and mac parameter in the url.

Open your Chromecast app > DEVICES > settings

Replace the ip address and mac address to above information.

Then login with your account that hotel provides you, the Chromecast is ready to cast!
